Began internship at Seedling Publications, Inc. (4/98-4/99)

Worked on publication layout, advertising design and press preparation.

*sidenotes* Spring 1999 ~ enrolled in Illustration Workshop

class consisting of three contests as assignments with real-world clients,

won 1st place in all three. Also won illustration placement in

Columbus Dispatch daily newspaper and designed poster for the 1998-1999

International Orton Cone Box Ceramics and Sculpture Show. Finished 1st

illustrated book “Not Very Messy, Unless” and spot illustration for Young Isaac.

cardboard packaging design,

single-page advertisements and product photography

Helped in conceiving product identity and stylization, including trademark fonts,

colors, and logos

Finished multiple projects in teams of three to five fellow art directors,

editors and designers

Color correction and pre-press manipulation of books, catalogs and print media.

Experience at press checks and a developed eye for fixing color problems at press.

Helped design and direct yearly catalog.

Finished Cover for May 2001 issue of Focus On the Family’s “Clubhouse J.R.” magazine.

Accepted part-time work Studio 612 ~ high-end photography retouching and

Finished illustrations for 16th published children’s book for Seedling Publications, Inc.

Titles include: “Look! Bugs...” “The Little Rabbit Who Wanted Red Wings”, “Puffins”,

and “Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat”. Also wrote and illustrated "Giant Bugs Were Real,"

Turtles Everywhere "and “Prairie Town.”

Featured in 2002 winter issue of “Dark Realms” magazine as fantasy illustrator.
